At Devil Dog Training we focus on a method of training known as balanced training, but we prefer the term four-quadrant training. The reason for this distinction is because although we will utilize the four quadrants of Operant Conditioning Theory, the main focus of our training is built upon positive reinforcement. The other three quadrants are additional tools that we use to build clarity in dogs behavior.

 

Dog training is both an art and a science. Boiled down, it is based on proven operant and classic conditioning, and the methodology implemented in order to achieve the desired conditioned responses from our dogs.
