WHAT WE OFFER
BOARD & TRAIN
For an intensive training program, we at Devil Dog Training recommend a board and train style to start your dog's training off right. Usually, our trainer only has one or two board and trains at a time to ensure that your canine companion gets the most out of their stay. Your dog will come live with our trainer in their home, and will go through rigorous training in order to achieve the best results.

This approach is widely used by many trainers because of its efficacy in comparison with group and private lessons. During this program your canine companion will receive four to five training sessions per day. The amount of time spent in each session is dependent on the dog to make sure they are not overworked. The training is individualized as our program is built on each isolated case and not the idea of a perfect dog. Our trainer likes to take dogs to outings during their stay. These adventures include but are not limited to: hikes, city trips, swimming, pet-friendly stores (pets), and public access trips (service dogs). We will work with each owner on what their animal specifically needs.

The price of board and train also includes private lessons to train the handler on what the dog learned to make sure that the owner-dog team are set up for success. Generally this is around three lessons, but the duration of the dog's stay and the reason for the board and train cause this to vary greatly.
Owners will also receive a go home packet, which
explicitly details everything worked on in a training guide, the tools that were used or introduced during the stay, and access to our online platform to continue the owner's education.

We prioritize these board and trains over private and group lessons to make sure that these dogs go home set up for success. Our trainer recommends this board and train program for service dogs, puppies, off-leash training, and behavior modifications such as reactivity towards dogs or humans. If you're interested in the program and your situation isn't listed, don't hesitate to inquire if you believe your dog requires a more intensive approach. We trust your intuition!
PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons, whether in-person or virtual, are a great way to train your own dog with a hands-on approach. These lessons are specifically tailored to the needs of each individual owner-dog team. Lessons can be used to solve a variety of different problem behaviors as well as clarifying training for the owners.

The main focuses of these one-on-one sessions are: basic to advanced obedience and helping owners manage problem behaviors such as reactivity. We also have a program for service dog handlers; this program is designed to solidify obedience, learn how to train tasks, and perfect public access skills.

This private option is designed for owners that would like to learn and be involved in the process of training to their individual dog's needs, and is only recommended for those who have the desire and dedication to follow through with our trainer's instructions. This is because success is completely based on the owner's participation in the dog's learning.

These lessons are available in single and package deal formats. Our trainer might only recommend one or two lessons for basic problems but usually the package lessons are preferable to ensure a higher rate of success for the owner-dog team.
BOARDING
From daily to monthly boarding, Devil Dog Training offers boarding services for all types of dogs. We allow puppies all the way up to adult dogs, the only requirements is the dog being up to date on vaccines and being crate trained.

There are two types of boarding, home-style and outing boarding. Home-style is for owners who want their dogs getting time in the house and yard at the Devil Dog Training house. If the dog is friendly with other dogs, they will be allowed out in the yard for playtime. Outing boarding is when the dog is when the dog is taken that day specifically on a fun outing. These could be things like hikes, swims, training club, restaurants, or other activities that your dog might enjoy. Generally multiple dogs are taken and it is recommended that your dog be a fairly social dog.
